This study explored the impact of parents’ career choices on the educational paths of students in the College of Education at the Philippine College of Science and Technology. Using a descriptive method with survey questionnaires among second to fourth-year education students, findings revealed that Criminology was the most preferred pre-degree program among students. The primary reason for adhering to parents’ choices was the students’ desire to fulfill their parents’ dreams of seeing them become professionals. Results indicated that parental influence leads to a pursuit of happiness and success in students' careers. It is recommended that parents and students engage in open communication to better align career decisions with students’ interests and abilities.
