autonomous robot fire detection Arduino flame sensors firefighter safety

This study focused on developing an autonomous fire-fighting robot designed to detect and suppress fires, aiming to provide a safer alternative for human firefighters. Utilizing a descriptive-developmental research method, the researchers constructed a functional prototype integrating flame sensors, a water pump, an Arduino control system, and mobility mechanisms. Data were collected through a survey of 50 Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officers from Calasiao, Dagupan, and San Carlos City. Results showed that the respondents were knowledgeable about artificial intelligence and recognized the fire-fighting robot's relevance in terms of convenience and safety. The study concluded that the integration of autonomous robots in firefighting operations could minimize risks to human life and improve fire suppression efforts.
